Central Banning
Growing up in Central Banning was great. All of the schools - Central, Coombs Junior High, and Banning high School were all within walking distance from our neighborhood. Repplier Park was the spot for picnics, Tennis, and Boy Scouts. Before the big box stores were built off of Highland Springs Rd, Downtown had plenty of stores including Constantinos , Picketts Market, O'brians Parmacy, Tri-city Stationeries, JC Penny, McManns, and more.

Banning's Downtown, like many towns, lost many of its local businesses as large shopping centers were constructed. There has been an effort to revitalize the downtown area with major restorations to buildings along Ramsey and San Gorgonio.
Historical note
